David has been mediating since 2004 when he qualified as a Mediator with CEDR. He has now completed over 140 mediations. His two main area of expertise in his mediations are Property disputes (including wills and trusts) and Employment. These two areas are the focus of his "other life" as a Barrister of 30 years' experience. He has been described variously as "not the sort of mediator to allow the grass to grow under his feer" and as "very down to earth". He respects the party's time constraints and frequently finishes on time. His friendly personality enables the parties to relax and discuss difficult and sometimes painful issues. He understands the process of mediation well and has achieved agreement in over 90% of his mediations. He also holds an MSc in Conflict Resolution and Mediation Studies from Birkbeck London University and has regularly lectured on mediation. David has an interest in languages. He speaks French, Spanish and Italian. He is currently studying German and Portuguese.
